hexer software package provides interactive binary editor with a Vi-like interface, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install hexer
hexer is installed in your system.
Make ensure the hexer package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep hexer *
You will get with hexer package name, version, architecture and description in a table
